About Us
My name is Tania and I'm the full-time instructor at Alba View Equestrian, teaching basic horse riding lessons and horse care skills to those that have never ridden before. I have been involved in the horse industry since leaving school many moons ago, starting out in the horse-racing industry and eventually moving on to riding schools in the Adelaide Hills. After 10 years I moved to Werribee Victoria and started up my own Horse Riding School and Agistment Complex where we had over 60 horses and a great bunch of students and agistees. This is also where I first started our very popular weekend program “Horse Mad Gang” which was just amazing, watching our first time riders progress and build confidence in the saddle.
After our daughter Scarlette came along, we decided to sell the school and dabbled in running a café and country pub for a while. But honestly, we missed the horses and teaching other kids to ride. So, in 2016, we decided to move back to Adelaide, buy our own property and start up another riding school called Alba View Equestrian – Learn To Ride.
Our School focuses on beginner riders and horse mad kids that are finding their first steps in the horse world. We hope that one day if they are lucky enough to own their own horse that they will be well equipped to care and handle them and be as safe as can be. However, if owning a pony is not an option they will always have a pony here to own for one day a week at Horse Mad Gang.
I am currently going through Riding for the Disabled and Pony Club coach training too, always willing and hungry to learn more about horses and riding. We never stop learning! Thanks for reading and hopefully you too will become part of our new venture! Thanks for reading, sincerely Tania, Geoff and Scarlette. (Pictured: Scarlette and Rocco)
